Lindsay Lohan’s ex bodyguard says "Blame of parents"

(celebrity-gossip.net) - Tony Almedia, who served as Lindsay Lohan's bodyguard from 2002 to 2005, is tired of seeing his former employer badmouthed over her troubling behavior. So much so, that he has launched a verbal attack on the 'Mean Girls' star's parents, claiming that "they were wild, abusive, neglectful partiers."

In discussing the challenges that Lindsay faced growing up, it was tough to figure which parent Almedia had more contempt for.

Reciting events that he had witnessed, Almedia described a pattern of physical and emotional abuse that Michael Lohan displayed towards his daughter. Witnessing Michael Lohan's temper in action, Tony recalls: "He slammed on the brakes and dragged her out of the car, pushed her up against the hood, screamed at her and called her a slut on the Long Island Expressway."

Meanwhile, Lindsay's issues with her mother are said to have enabled a very different form of abuse: mental cruelty & drugs. According to LiLo's ex-bodyguard, Dina Lohan viewed Lindsay as the family meal ticket, and she truly believed in the saying "the end justifies the means." By either providing (or simply ignoring) the hard liquor and beer at Lindsay's 16th birthday party, Dina sent a clear message to her daughter that there would be no consequences to her actions.

And in a move that would make most parents stop and hesitate, the combined parenting efforts of Michael and Dina even allowed Lindsay to share a room with Aaron Carter, her boyfriend at age 15.

While this by no means absolves Lindsay of her own doings, it seems readily apparent that LiLo's childhood wasn't all peaches and cream.

With a shaky family foundation, the early childhood success of Lindsay created the ultimate conflict of interest for bad parents: personal gain vs. children's happiness. Unfortunately, it appears that the evil green man won out in this fairy tale.
