Kazakhstan reveals export of goods by Nur-Sultan SEZ entrepreneurs

Entrepreneurs of the special economic zone (SEZ) in Kazakhstan’s Nur-Sultan city exported goods worth 70 billion tenge (more than $166 million), the CEO of the Astana-Technopolis Special Economic Zone Managing Company JSC Bakytzhan Doskaziyev told Trend.

According to Doskaziyev, 132 billion tenge (over $309.3 million), including social benefits, came to the state budget from taxpayers.

He noted that investors from Azerbaijan, Turkey, France, the US, Poland, South Africa, Russia, and China work in the SEZ.

State companies invested 24.5 billion tenge (nearly $98 million at the exchange rate of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan) and private ones - 200 billion tenge (over $800 million) in the special economic zone of Nur-Sultan. In total, products worth 3.7 trillion tenge (over $8.6 billion) were manufactured on the SEZ territory.

The territory of the industrial zones within the SEZ is about 15,000 hectares. Currently, the SEZ has enterprises for the production of building materials, machines, locomotives and wagons, a number of IT and start-up projects, manufacturers of medical equipment, special clothes, perfumes, and others.
