Turkmenistan looks to bring its cement plants in line with int'l standards

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 13

Turkmenistan is studying the design of cement plants in accordance with international standards, as well as their equipment with advanced technologies, Trend reports with reference to the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

The Ministry of Industry and Construction Production of Turkmenistan has previously signed contracts with Beyik-Bina and Turkmen Enjam companies for the construction of a cement plant.

The contracts are signed for the construction of the second stage of the Baherden cement plant in the Baherden district of the Akhal region and the second stage of the Lebap cement plant in the Koitendag district of the Lebap region.

Previous reports said Beyik-Bina and Turkmen Enjam won tenders related to the projects.

Turkmenistan's Lebap region has other cement plants as well. For example, a cement factory in Garlyk city of Lebap region in Turkmenistan exported 256,000 tons of 857,000 tons of products manufactured in 2019.
