Certain roads and facilities to be put into operation in Iran's Fars Province

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Aug. 23

A number of roads and facilities will be put into operation in the Fars Province (southern Iran) within the "Government Week" in Iran (August 24 through August 30, 2021), Director of Roads and urban Development Department in Fars Province Jafar Zahedi said, Trend reports citing Ministry Roads and Urban Development of Iran.

Zahedi stressed that a total of 2.28 trillion rials (about $54.3 million) has been spent in this direction.

The director added that the 37 km long Farashband-Firuzabad trunk road and the 7 km long Surmaq-Eqlid-Yasuj trunk road will be put into operation in the province.

“As for the field of urban development in the province, 759 apartments, which built with state loans worth 400 billion rials (about $9.52 million), will be put into operation,” he said.

Zahedi expressed hopes that the operation of these roads and facilities will lead to development in the province.
