The International Finance Cooperation under the program on technical assistance to application of cotemporary standards of the Azerbaijan Corporate Governance Project (ACGP) will maintain technical support to the Azerbaijani State Committee on Securities (SCS) to open training center on capital base, IFC project head Caroline Bright said on Aug.4.
Cooperate governance is a significant part of the capital base. So, IFC will maintain technical support to the committee to establish such a center, Bright said.
The committee under the concept of information and enlightenment for 2009-2011, will open the training center on the capital base to educate the market participants and interested people.
IFC investment portfolio in Azerbaijan economy amounts to $131 million. Some 30 projects worth more than $300 million were realized in the country. The cooperation under the ACGP program was consulted with over 400 companies and assisted the participant companies to attract investment worth $17 million.
