About 93 auctions have been held in Azerbaijan since March 2009 since launching of municipalities sale via auctions and competitions, the Azerbaijani State Committee for Land and Cartography said on August 20.
"About 14 auctions have been held in Barda, Balakan, Agdash, Terter, Shamkir, Tovuz, Shamakha and Sheki regions of Azebraijan," the State Committee said.
A source said that auctions are held on 14 of each month in all regions of Azerbaijan.
Municipal lands will be sold via auctions upon the Azerbaijani president's decree on December 10, 2008. The Azerbaijani State Committee for Land and Cartography is charged to conduct them. Before, municipalities were charged to conduct auctions.
Upon the certification, the contract with legal or physical entity won at auction or competition is concluded towards municipal lands with local organizations of the state committee not later than 20 days in accordance with civil and land legislations.
