Services hit 47.4 percent in the structure of Uzbekistan's GDP

Share of service production in Uzbek GDP rose to 47.4% from 46.2% in January-Julyn 2010, the Uzbek State Statistics Committee reported.

Share of goods production in GDP decreased from 40.7% in January-June 2009 to 39.9% in the first half of 2010. Net taxes to products and import-export operations made up 12.7% of GDP, which is 0.4 percentages less than year-on-year.

Uzbekistan's GDP in January-June grew by eight percent compared to the same period of 2009 and hit 24.168 trillion soums.

Out of the total volume of GDP, the share of the non-state sector was 77.5% in the first half of 2010 (in January-June 2009 - 76.5%) and that of the state sector - 22.5% (in January-June 2009 - 23.5%).

At the same time, the share of joint ventures in GDP made up 17.4% (17.9% in January-June 2009) and citizens property - 25.3% (25.3%). Economic entities produced 28.8% of Uzbekistan's GDP (27.1%) and farm and dehkan entities - 2.7% (2.7%).

The share of public sector in GDP declined by one percent - to 22.5 percent.

In 2009, Uzbekistan's GDP grew by 8.1 percent, industrial production - by 9 percent, agricultural production - by 5.7 percent, the total investment in the economy - at 24.8 per cent, inflation was 7.4 per cent .

Uzbekistan's GDP growth is planned at 8.3 percent in 2010 compared, industrial production - 8.3 percent, agricultural production - 5 percent, retail trade - by 16.3 per cent,  investments - 22 percent , volume of exports - 6 percent, inflation will be kept at the level of 7-9 percent.
