In January-November, metallurgical industry of Azerbaijan produced products and rendered services worth 149.7 million manat, the State Statistics Committee said.
Amount of production in metallurgical industry in Azerbaijan increased by 22.3 percent, finished metal products during this period decreased by 6 percent.
During the reported period 109,400 tons of steel casting were produced, which is 2.2 times more than the same period of last year. Production of iron castings was 884,700 tons, which is 42.9 percent less than the same period of 2009. Some 30,600 tons steel pipes were produced, which is 5.1 times more than the same period of 2009.
Amount of production of reinforcement reached 105,400 tons, which is 4.9 percent less than in January-October of 2009.
Amount of production of wires and cables made of ferrous metals reached 102,100 tons, which is 3.5 times more than in January- November of 2009.
Amount of export of semi-finished products made from ferrous metal, as a result of ten months of 2010 exceeded 81,800 tons (in the amount of over $38.1 million ), which is 5.9 times (in monetary terms in 7.1 times) more compared with the same period of 2009.
Amount of export of angles and channels made from ferrous metal in January-October amounted to over 48,700 tons (more than $22.2 million), which is 98.5 percent more (in the amount 92.5 percent more) compared to the similar figure of 2009.
During January-October the amount of exported pipes made from ferrous metal was more than 31,600 tons (in the amount of over $24.8 million), which is 7.1 times (in monetary terms in 3.1 times) more compared with corresponding figures of 2009.
