The delegations of the countries with transit economy, where the WB projects are realized, are planning to visit Azerbaijan to study the model of pension insurance of the country, the Azerbaijani State Social Protection Fund said.
The pension insurance bodies of Mongolia and Turkmenistan officially appealed to the fund to study the experience of Azerbaijan.
In particular, the interest in paying a visit to Azerbaijan was expressed in a letter of Mongolia's social insurance fund to establish cooperation with the state fund.
Turkmenistan also showed interest to visit the country to reach an agreement on cooperation in the field of pension and insurance reforms.
The Afghan delegation has already visited Azerbaijan. The delegation got acquainted with the reforms undertaken in the system of pension insurance. The parties plan to sign a draft agreement on future co-operation of relevant bodies of the two countries.
Azerbaijani President approved the state program of development of the pension-insurance system for 2009-2015 in January 2009.
The State Pension-Insurance System Development Program for 2009-2015 is aimed to further improve the pension system and achieve sustainable and dynamic development of the pension insurance system.
The work will be gradually implemented to improve the pension insurance system based on actuarial models, development of individual registration in the state system of compulsory social insurance.
According to the program, the State Social Protection Fund must provide improvement of the mechanism of regulation of insurance payments, the full integration of the new labor pension system of retirees who retired before January 1, 2006, improving the system of compulsory social insurance and the development of voluntary pension insurance.
