Azerbaijan, Baku, Feb. 28 / Trend A. Akhundov /

Azerbaijani Muganbank began cooperating with local banks in connection with their joining the bank's Monex money transfer system, operating since November 1, last year, Muganbank Deputy Chairman Rasim Ismailov told Trend on Tuesday.

He said that the cooperation agreements have been already signed with 15 banks. The work will be launched on March 1.

"We will try to conclude such agreements with all Azerbaijani banks," he said. The negotiations are underway."

Monex system will be beneficial not only for Muganbank customers, but also the partner banks. For example, the banks will be able to get more income in the transactions (transfer or getting funds) through Monex than while using other systems.

"It is possible that we will adhere to an individual approach when dealing with each bank," he said.

At present, "Monex" unites more than ten cities and settlements of Azerbaijan, having Muganbank branches, he said. At present, the bank has 31 branches and two offices in Baku and regions of Azerbaijan.

"Our Monex system operates in all branches and offices," he said. "On average, about 20 operations are conducted daily."

At present, the bank operates with 11 international money transfer systems to improve the quality of services rendered to the clients.

"As the choice of system depends on the willingness of each client, the introduction of its own money transfer system in the near future will not affect the reduction of the list of money transfer systems, used by the bank now," he said.
