Investment in residential construction increased nearly 30 percent in Kazakhstan, according to the analytical service Ranking.kz.
"Investment in residential building rose by 28 percent. In January-July some 327 billion tenge ($1-182 tenge) have been allocated for the construction of housing, which is 72 billion tenge more than last year," the experts report indicates.
The Almaty region spent the most money - 72.2 billion tenge (22 percent of the total volume), according to the report. In the South-Kazakhstan region, investments in residential building increased almost two-fold, up to 11.9 billion tenge.
"Investment activity made an impact on construction scale. Some 3.9 million square meters of the total area have been built. That's 600,000 more than in January-July 2013," the report said.
