Share of the AKFA company, the Uzbek producer and exporter of aluminum and plastic profiles, in the market of Uzbekistan is currently about 70 percent, the company told Trend on June 12.
The company also noted that manufactured products are exported to such countries as Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Russia, Ukraine and Azerbaijan. AKFA exports heating radiators to Azerbaijan.
A representative of the Uzbek company said that company has 3-4 competitors in the domestic market in different spheres of production. However, the products of AKFA have a number of competitive advantages.
“Among the advantages of our company are complete production cycle (from production of profiles to assembly of ready windows and doors), twenty years of experience, fully automated plants with European equipment, ability to produce products on orders, and wide range of products including PVC and aluminum profiles, accessories and components, heating radiators, windows and doors,” the company noted.
The AKFA company was established in 2004 with the opening of a plant for production of aluminum profiles. In 2008, AKFA was one of the first companies in Uzbekistan to be certified according to ISO 9001 standard for management systems.
The company currently has 8 extrusion presses and 45 extrusion lines for production of plastic profiles in 6 factories, which also include lines for production of fittings and components, radiators and automatic transmissions, and employ over 5,000 people.
The total production area of the company is some 60,000 square meters. The company produces 30,000 tons of aluminum and 20,000 tons of plastic profiles per year. The company also produces over 1.6 million pieces of accessories per year. At the same time, 40 percent of all the company's products are being exported.
It was earlier reported that the European-Uzbek BENKAM JV, a division of the AKFA company, specializing in the production of aluminum and plastic profiles, will participate in the Messe Dusseldorf Aluminum 2018 exhibition in October 2018.
At the 2016 exhibition, BENKAM created a client base of 127 companies and concluded a number of large contracts on supply of products to European countries. In January 2018, export to the CIS countries, Germany, Poland, Lithuania, USA, Canada and other countries began.
