Within the framework of the visit of President of Kazakhstan Kassym Jomart Tokayev to China the protocols on livestock, milk products and wool raw materials were signed, which will allow to export these goods of Kazakh manufacturing to China, Trend reports with reference to Kazakh media.
According to the Head of the Committee for Veterinary Control and Supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan Azamat Zabekov, the investment project in the form of camel milk processing plant has been put into operation last year in Turkestan city. The project capacity of the plant is up to 100 tons a day on average.
“We plant to process, dry and export camel milk to the Chinese market. The project will unite all manufacturers of camel milk from Zhambyl, Turkestan and Kyzylorda regions. Furthermore, we are planning to utilize those engaged in camel husbandry in Mangystau region. We plan to construct a workshop for drying of milk, which will be supplied in the dry form to the plant in Turkestan. It will be packaged here and sent to markets,” Zabekov said during the briefing in the ministry.
According to him, the camel milk will be exported in powder form.
“The entire technological structure has already been created. Local brands have already been established. For example, the Saumal brand is being promoted on the Russian market. The cost of these goods is quite high in China. We think that this will become an additional source of income for our farmers,” Zabekov noted.
