Some 5 large industrial enterprises will be put into operation in the North Khorasan province in northeastern Iran in the current Iranian year (starting from March 20, 2020), Chairman of the North Khorasan province Industry, Mine and Trade Organization Reza Firouzeh said, Trend reports citing the organization’s website.
According to Firouzeh, a total of 127 trillion rials (about $304 million) has been invested in these five enterprises and with commissioning of these enterprises, about 1,000 people will be provided with job.
Firouzeh added that with the development of the Esfarayen Industrial Complex (EICO), the production of the complex will increase by 72,000 tons per year and about 200 people will be employed. About 3.19 trillion rials (about $75.9 million) was spent on the commissioning of the new section of the complex.
“The Azin Forge Company’s plant will also be commissioned this year. About 5.36 trillion rials (about $127 million) has been spent on this enterprise and 500 people will be employed," he said.
Firouzeh said that the other enterprise will produce various paper products with calcium carbonate and its capacity will be 88,000 tons of products a year. Some 115 people will be employed at this enterprise.
The official said that 1.73 trillion rials (about $41.1 million) was spent to the enterprise that will produce cans.
There are more than 316 industrial enterprises in Iran's North Khorasan province.
