Russia's Rosgeologiya has signed a contract with Uzbekistan's Uzbekgeofizika to provide services in Uzbekistan, Trend reports citing the State Committee of Uzbekistan for Geology and Mineral Resources.

The contract was signed for the provision of geological services to clarify the geological model, study the prospects of oil and gas content and assessment of hydrocarbon potential of the Aral Sea and the adjacent area, geochemical studies and basin modeling.

According to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan dated 23 April 2020, Rosgeologiya was determined to be the executor of the program for geological study of the potential of the Aral Sea and its adjacent areas for hydrocarbon resources.
