The Azerbaijani State Agency for Compulsory Health Insurance has put into operation the e-services "Access to personal account", "Online - payment of medical services" and "Online queue for passengers", as well as increased the number of the areas for application of the e-service "Results of laboratory tests" this year, the State Agency for Compulsory Health Insurance told Trend.
Through the "Access to personal account" e-service, residents of 23 administrative territories in which compulsory medical insurance is currently available can review the services which are rendered to them within the compulsory medical insurance in medical institutions of certain districts and cities.
A citizen using a medical service not included in the set of services in 23 administrative territories in which compulsory medical insurance is currently applied, pays for the service online through ‘Online payment of medical services’.
If a citizen who is not insured in the areas in which this type of insurance is applied, uses a paid medical service, then a citizen pays for the service through this e-service online.
To prevent the cases of coronavirus in the country, passengers using domestic flights of Azerbaijan Airlines are required to pass COVID-19 test.
Thus, with the help of the e-service "online - queue for passengers", the Agency allows air ticket holders to determine the time for passing COVID-19 test online.
"A number of measures are envisaged to introduce compulsory medical insurance throughout the country,” the Agency added. “So, to improve the management of medical institutions, it is planned to optimize the network of medical institutions, strengthen the provision of medical institutions with medical equipment, automate hospitals, develop human resources and effectively distribute them throughout Azerbaijan."
