Azerbaijan raises export to Croatia

The value of Azerbaijani products export to Croatia for 10M2020 exceeded $306.2 million against $448.8 million in the same period of 2019, up by 46.6 percent year on year, Trend reports citing the statistical bulletin of the State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan.

According to the bulletin, thus, the share of Croatia in Azerbaijan’s total export made up 3.67 percent, while a year earlier this figure was 1.82 percent.

During the reporting period the import of Croatian products to Azerbaijan grew to over $2.1 million from $1.2 million recorded in 10M2019. The share of Croatia in the total import of Azerbaijan remained unchanged (0.02 percent).

The volume of foreign trade operations between the two countries amounted to $450.9 million, which is 46.2 percent more compared to the same period of last year.

Thus, the balance of foreign trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Croatia for the reporting period remained positive, equaling to $446 million.

In general, from January through October 2020, the foreign trade turnover of Azerbaijan made up over $21 billion, down by 25.7 percent year on year.

The main products exported by Croatia are medicines, parts of transformers and various equipment.

Currently, nearly 20 Croatian companies are operating in Azerbaijan in the spheres of ICT, oil industry, energy, and railway infrastructure.
