Export of petroleum products to Turkmenistan from EAEU increased

The export of petroleum products to Turkmenistan from the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) has increased, Trend reports with reference to statistical data of the Eurasian Economic Commission.

Some 6,247 tons of oil products were exported to Turkmenistan from January through October 2020, which exceeds the figure for a year earlier by 32.5 percent.

The amount of the above-mentioned exports was to $5.3 million, which is also more than a year earlier's amount by 10.9 percent.

The countries exporting the mentioned volume of oil products to Turkmenistan were Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia. In particular, the share of Belarus in the amount of exports was $170,465, Kazakhstan’s – $197,100, Kyrgyzstan’s - $5,327, and Russia’s – $4.9 million.

In addition, in the reporting period, 1,500 tons of petroleum coke and bitumen were exported from Russia to Turkmenistan, totaling $223,800.

Also, Russia was a supplier to Turkmenistan of over 359 tons of natural bitumen and asphalt from January through October 2020.
