Iran's exports from Kerman Province increases

The exports through the customs of the Kerman Province (southeastern Iran) increased by 26 percent in terms of value during the first 10 months of the current year (March 20, 2020 through January 20, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Director General of Kerman Province Customs Office Mohammad Reza Ghader said, Trend reports referring to the Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

The director general emphasized that 340,000 tons of goods worth $819 million were exported through the customs of the Kerman Province within 10 months.

He added that 1.22 million tons of goods worth $1.72 billion were exported from Iran's Kerman Province over the reporting period.

Ghader noted that the exported goods were mainly pistachios, dates, copper products, sugar, ceramics and so on. These goods have been exported to Italy, Germany, China, Iraq, the UAE, Pakistan and Afghanistan and other countries.

According to him, 328,000 tons of agricultural products worth $1.04 billion, 627,000 tons of industrial products worth $665 million and 268,000 tons of mining products worth $12.9 million were exported.

The director general said moreover, 43,000 tons of goods worth $315 million were imported to Kerman Province over the 10 months. The imported goods decreased by 48 percent in terms value.
