Azerbaijan-Belarus foreign trade operations for Jan. 2021 revealed

The revenue from Azerbaijan’s exports to Belarus totaled $488,000 in January 2021, which is 2 times less compared to the same month of 2020, Trend reports referring to the statistical bulletin of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee (SCC).

Thus, the share of Belarus in the total export of Azerbaijan decreased from 0.05 percent to 0.03 percent, according to the SCC bulletin.

In January this year, imports of Belarusian products to Azerbaijan shrank from $7.8 million to $7.68 million, namely, by 1.8 percent. Belarus’ share in the total imports of Azerbaijan amounted to 0.98 percent of the total volume, while in January 2020 - 1.08 percent.

Meanwhile, the volume of foreign trade operations between Azerbaijan and Belarus amounted to $8.17 million, decreasing by 7.4 percent over the year.

The balance of foreign trade turnover between the two countries for the reporting period remained negative, amounting to $7.19 million.

Overall, in January 2021, Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover exceeded $2.4 billion. More than $1.6 billion of that amount or 67.34 percent accounted for export while the remaining $787.5 million or 32.66 percent for import.
