TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, May 3. Uzbekistan and OPEC Fund for International Development signed an agreement worth $20 million, Trend reports.
Uzbekistan's Ministry of Economy and Finance said the funds will fund the Development of a Network of Non-State Preschool Educational Institutions on the Basis of PPP.
The project allows the private sector to utilize soft loans for the construction of preschool educational institutions.
Meanwhile, the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and the OPEC Fund for International Development will allocate almost $154 million for highway reconstruction projects in Uzbekistan.
The project will rebuild the 1255–1315-kilometer M39 Alma-Ata-Bishkek-Tashkent-Shakhrisabz-Termez international highway. The highway runs through Dehkanabad district.
Under the project, Uzbekistan will build 60 kilometers of cement concrete-paved four-lane road.
