BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 2. Saneg (Uzbekistan's largest private oil and gas company) intends to ensure total annual oil production in the country in the amount of up to 2 million tons, a source from the company told Trend.
"Saneg is the executor of the state program for increasing oil production for 2020–2030. "In the future, the implementation of the program with the participation of all extractive companies in Uzbekistan will make it possible to ensure total annual oil production in the country of up to 2 million tons," the source noted.
The source claims that the company has received subsoil use rights for 103 fields, which include the assignment of licenses for the use of subsoil areas for geological exploration and mineral production, as well as the registration of the relevant mining and land allotments.
"Saneg intends to meet its oil production target of 791,000 tons in 2024." "The expected gas production target for 2024 is 2.3 billion cubic meters and 139,000 tons of condensate," the company source added.
Meanwhile, Saneg increased oil production at Chegara (nine-fold increase in production), Sardob (15-fold increase in production), Yangi Karatepa (38-fold increase), as well as North Urtabulak, Sharkiy, Garbiy Toshli, and Khodjaobad fields in 2023.
