Iran approves projects on establishment of trade zones

Iran's Expediency Discernment Council has approved projects on the establishment of 7 more free trade zones, a member of Iran's Expediency Discernment Council Gholamreza Mesbahi Moghaddam told IRIB, Trend reports.

According to Mesbahi Moghaddam, these free trade zones are Incheh Borun in Golestan Province, Mehran in Ilam Province, Ardabil in Ardabil Province, Sistan in Sistan, and Baluchestan Province, Baneh-Marivan in Kurdistan Province, Jask in Hormozgan Province, Bushehr in Bushehr Province, Qasr-e Shirin in Kermanshah Province.

Mesbahi Moghaddam added that the Iranian parliament has identified four places for the establishment of the Ardabil Free Trade Zone, the Expediency Discernment Council has instructed the government to determine the place.

“The decision on the establishment of new free trade zones stressed the rules of the previous free trade zones. In addition, reforms have been made to the rules of the previous free trade zones,” he said.

The territory of Free Trade Zones is considered state territory. There are no transactions in this regard.
