Pension savings value on decrease in Kazakhstan

BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 3

Pension savings of contributors (recipients) amounted to 12.8 trillion ($30.1 billion) as of August 1 in Kazakhstan, having decreased by 102.7 billion tenge ($241.6 million), or by 0.8 percent, Trend reports citing the National Bank of Kazakhstan.

The net revenue from investing into pension savings has increased by 798.3 billion tenge ($1.8 billion) over the period from January through July, amounting to 6.3 trillion tenge ($14.9 billion) as of August 1, 2021.

The number of individual pension accounts of contributors for compulsory pension amounted to 10.9 million accounts as of August 1, 2021. The amount of pension payments amounted to 1.9 trillion tenge ($4.4 billion) over the period from January through June 2021.

Unified Accumulative Pension Fund (UAPF) carries out its activities strictly within the framework determined by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Fund aims to maintain high standards of corporate governance, regularly publishes information on the state of depositors accounts and its current financial condition in open information sources.
