Kazakhstan's ore output volume for 2021 unveiled

The production volume of iron ores in Kazakhstan amounted to 63.7 million tons from January through December 2021, which is 1.3 percent more than during the same period of 2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

According to the data, iron ores production amounted to 5.1 million tons in December 2021, which is 3.3 percent less than in December 2020.

Production of copper ores increased by 3.9 percent during the reporting months, having amounted to 124.8 million tons (10.3 million tons in December 2021, a decrease by 33.8 percent compared to the same month in 2020).

Production of zinc and copper ores amounted to 7.09 million tons during the reporting period, which indicates an increase of 2.6 percent compared to the same period of last year.

The production volume of zinc and copper ores was 1,4 million tons in December 2021, which is 3.1 times more than in December 2020.

Production of gold ores amounted to 32.9 million tons over the reporting period, which is 24.8 percent more than during the same period of 2020. The volume of gold ores produced in December 2021 was 2.8 million tons, which is 22.4 percent more than in December 2020.

Production of lead and zinc ores amounted to 8.8 million tons, which is 40.4 percent more than during the same period of 2020 (775,500 tons in December 2021, up by 51.4 percent compared to December 2020).

As reported, the production of manganese ores amounted to 1.1 million tons, which is 46.3 percent more than during the same period of 2020 (78,100 tons in December 2021, a decrease of 6.7 percent compared to December 2020).

Production of chrome ores amounted to 6.1 million tons, which is 2.1 percent less than during the same period of 2020 (537,700 tons in December 2021, an increase of 16 percent compared to December 2020).
