BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 28. Kazakhstan’s Samruk Kazyna Sovereign Wealth Fund will sell 100 percent of shares in Tau-Ken Temir and Silicon Mining companies, Trend reports citing Kazakh Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development.

Tau-Ken Temir is the manufacturer of technical silicon with the annual factory load about 23 000 ton. The manufacturing complex of the plant is represented by two ore thermal furnaces, with full capacity 30 MVA each, and by unique equipment of German manufacturer SMS SIEMAG, one of the leaders at manufacturing market of the electrical-furnaces with submerged-arc.

Silicon Mining LLP was established on December 22, 2008 with its main activities being exploration and production of solid and common mineral resources.

Samruk-Kazyna Joint Stock Company was established in 2008 by the Decree of the President of Republic of Kazakhstan. The sole shareholder of the Fund is the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The fund is a business corporation - an investment holding, whose mission is to improve the national welfare of the Republic of Kazakhstan and ensuring long-term sustainability for future generations.
