Kazakhstan unveils inflation indicators

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 4. Kazakhstan’s inflation rate amounted to 15 percent in July compared to July 2021, and to 1.1 percent compared to June 2022, Trend reports citing Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

The prices of food increased by 19.7 percent in July 2022 compared to July 2021, of non-food products by 14.3 percent, of paid services by 9.2 percent.

The most significant increase in prices of food items was observed on granulated sugar by 87.3 percent, onion by 71.7 percent, flour by 36.6 percent. The decrease in prices was observed for carrots by 29.6 percent, beets by 25.2 percent.

The prices for personal goods increased by 26.3 percent, detergents and cleaning products by 23.5 percent, household appliances by 22.6 percent, building materials by 20.5 percent, furniture and household items by 19 .1 percent, cars by 15.2 percent, textiles by 11.5 percent, pharmaceutical products by 9.7 percent.

The price level for complex recreation organizations increased by 19.1 percent, catering services by 16.8 percent, healthcare services by 15 percent, sanatoriums by 14.1 percent, hairdressing and personal care services by 13 percent, hotels by 5.9 percent. Passenger transport services went up in price by 5.5 percent.
