Iran eyes to attract Muslim investors in free economic zones

TEHRAN, Iran, August 22. The Iranian government's agenda is to attract Muslim investors to promote its economic free zones, said the President's Advisor and Secretary of the Supreme Council of Iran's Free Trade Zones Saeed Mohammad, Trend reports citing IRNA.

Iran's free zones have good potentials to attract investors and offer good incentives, he said adding that the upcoming Qatar World Cup could be a good opportunity to improve Iran's tourism sector as five-star hotels are prepared in Kish Island for visitors during the games.

The priority is to introduce the free trade zones' potential and have good cooperation with Muslim businessmen, this plan should be implemented by February, he stressed.

According to the official, the aim is to form a strong Islamic trade network and free zones can accelerate the cooperation.
