Shell’s new head for the Caspian region appointed

The company 'Royal Dutch Shell' has announced that Charles Watson has been appointed the new Executive Vice President for Russia and the Caspian Region this week, Energy Intelligence Group said.

Before, Chris Finlayson held this position. He had worked in Russia for four years.

Watson has worked in Shell since 1982. His activity has covered gas projects in the Middle East and northern and southern Africa. Watson was appointed Executive Vice-President of Shell Energy Europe BV in 2007. He was responsible for business for the gas sector and renewable energy sources in Europe, Russia and Central Asia.

According to the company, Watson will coordinate Shell's activities in Russia and the Caspian region and report to Shell's executive committee.
