Kazakhstan, Astana, Sept. 25 / Trend , K.Konyrova/

An agreement should be reached among producers, transit countries and consumers of natural gas that the transit countries cannot sell (re-export) the received gas, President of State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), Rovnag Abdullayev said at a news conference during the VI Eurasian Energy Forum.

"It is our desire [producer countries] to have clear tariff rates on the transit countries in order to prevent the transit countries from re-exporting gas," said Abdullayev.

These conditions will lead to the establishment of transparent relations between business entities.

Azerbaijan is currently holding talks with Turkey to conclude a transit agreement to export the Azerbaijani gas to Europe. Abdullayev said the negotiations are nearing completion.
