Bad weather conditions did not affect Azerbaijan's oil and gas production, as well as other related manufacturing processes of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), SOCAR told Trend on Thursday.
SOCAR said that the freezing weather and snow storm didn't affect work on the onshore and offshore production plants.
"The weather conditions have not affected any production process of the company," SOCAR said.
BP Azerbaijan (operator of the largest oil and gas production projects in Azerbaijan) said on Thursday the freezing weather and snow storm didn't affect production at 'Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli' (ACG) block of fields and 'Shah Deniz' gas condensate field. Export of oil and gas from Sangachal oil terminal continues in normal mode.
At present average daily oil production at ACG amounts to about 750,000 bbl/day and gas production at 'Shah Deniz' is about 25 million cubic meters of gas per day.
The company also includes the Azneft production association (the companies producing oil and gas onshore and offshore), the Azerkimya industrial association (chemical enterprises) and the Azerigaz industrial association (gas distribution).
SOCAR is the only producer of oil products in the country having two refineries and also owns petrol stations in Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine and Romania. It has recently bought a large network of filling stations in Switzerland.
SOCAR is also a co-owner of the largest Turkish petrochemical complex Petkim. The company carries out oil trade in various regions of the world uncder the banner of SOCAR Trading.
