SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) has completed the construction of a new platform at "Banka Darvina" field in the Azerbaijan sector of the Caspian Sea, SOCAR told today.
The construction of the platform is carried out by the "Oil and Gas Management" trust on the request of "Absheronneft" oil and gas extraction enterprise.
According to the information, the platform is envisaged for the drilling of eight operational wells. The Eight-Block object, which will be located at 10 meters depth of carts, is comprised of two parts: industrial and residential.
"The commissioning of the new platform is expected soon,"- the report says.
SOCAR includes industrial associations "Azneft" ( the enterprise for oil and gas extraction in the sea and on the ground), "Azeri-chemistry" (enterprise of chemical industry) and "Azerigas".
Moreover, the State Oil Company includes reproducing enterprises, service enterprises, institutions engaged in geophysical and drilling works.
