A new solar power plant will be built in the Turkish city of Sivas, Trend reports via Turkish media.
The 999 kvt-power plant will be built in the Chayboyu village.
It is planned to hold a tender to select contractors for the construction of the plant.
Previously, former Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey Berat Albayrak said that Turkey plans to invest $1B in the development of renewable energy sources.
The construction of new energy power plants will increase Turkey’s energy security, he said.
The new project on the development of renewable energy sources will provide jobs for about 3,750 people, he said.
