New project launched at Iran’s Tabriz Petrochemical Company

A project of merging Gharb ethylene plant in Iran’s Miyandab district with Tabriz Petrochemical Company has been launched in Tabriz city, Trend reports citing IRNA.

The launching ceremony of the project was attended by Head of Iran’s Presidential Office Mahmoud Vaezi.

Speaking at the event, Vaezi said the project will play a very important role for Tabriz Petrochemical Company and will facilitate the production of petrochemical fuel.

The presidential office head noted that with the commissioning of this project, annual output of Tabriz Petrochemical Company will grow from 1.2 million tons to 4 million tons.

As many as 860 billion rials ($6.3 million) have been spent on this project. Under this project, 10 tons of ethylene per hour will be transported to Tabriz Petrochemical Company. With the project being developed, transportation will increase to 40 tons per hour in two years.

Tabriz Petrochemical Company was established as a private joint stock company in the west of Tabriz Oil Refining Company on July 7, 1990, changed to a public joint stock entity in 1996 and was subsequently registered at Company Registration Department of Tabriz in 2008.

Tabriz Petrochemical Company has the annual production capacity of more than 815,000 polymeric and chemical products manufactured under the licensing of the most prestigious companies of the world and according to the high quality standards of these renowned licensors.
