Uzbekneftegaz reduces diesel fuel prices

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Mar. 7

By Ilkin Seyfaddini - Trend:

Uzbekneftegaz has reduced prices for diesel fuel at car filling stations, Trend reports with reference to press service of Uzbekneftegaz company.

Previously, Uzbekneftegaz organized sale of imported RON-92 gasoline and diesel fuel within a network of gas stations, which sells petroleum products under the national UNG brand.

According to the press service of the company, the first in the line were filling stations of Tashkent city and Tashkent region. After that, sales of imported RON-92 gasoline and diesel fuel were organized in Fergana Valley.

In total, forty-five filling stations across the country are already selling the imported, high-quality fuel to consumers.

Since March 1 of this year the cost of imported diesel fuel was reduced from 7,500 soum to 7,300 soum (from 0.78 cents to 0.76 cents).

"Usually, the price is set at the point of balance between supply and demand. Other things being equal, the price reduction increases demand and reduces supply. Taking this into account and the interests of consumers, as well as in connection with reducing the cost of diesel fuel at the exchange trading, the price was reduced. This circumstance served to increase the sales volume of this product," explained Mirzokhid Musaev, Director of UNG Petro LLC.
