The overall progress on construction of the Integrated Gas Chemical Complex KPI in Kazakhstan’s Atyrau region is 87.19 percent, Trend reports citing the press office of Kazakhstan’s prime minister.
Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Askar Mamin got acquainted with the construction process of the integrated complex during a working trip to the Atyrau region.
The integrated gas chemical complex project was placed under the management of KMG in June 2018. Since then, the construction has entered its active phase, the progress has increased from 6 to 74 percent.
The complex will allow producing up to 500,000 tons of polypropylene annually. The construction of the plant is to be finished in 2021.
KazMunayGas (KMG) National Company is the Kazakhstan operator for the exploration, production, refining, and transportation of hydrocarbons, representing the state interests in the oil and gas industry of Kazakhstan.
