Nationalization of Kazakhstan's oilfield service companies through their acquisition by KazMunayGas (KMG) NC JSC isn’t being planned, the country’s Energy Ministry said, Trend reports.
"Solving the issues of reducing the state's share in the economy is an important priority in the work to increase the competitiveness of enterprises in our country and ensure a healthy competitive environment,” the ministry noted. “Therefore, the state is actively working to put state and quasi-state enterprises, including the oil and gas complex, to a competitive environment.”
The Comprehensive Privatization Plan for 2021-2025 is being implemented, where it’s planned to gradually put up about 40 enterprises, belonging to the group of companies of the Samruk-Kazyna Holding, for privatization.
In order to improve the social and labor conditions of all contractors within the KMG NC JSC group, appropriate work is underway.
