BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 23. Kazakhstan’s "QazaqGaz" JSC National Company has saved nine billion tenge ($19 million) as a result of cost optimization since the beginning of 2022, Board Chairman of the JSC Sanzhar Zharkeshov said during a meeting with the country’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Trend reports via the press service of the president.
Zharkeshov informed the president about the ongoing comprehensive audit of the company's activities, and an international technical audit of the gas transmission system of Kazakhstan.
He also said that work is underway to reduce the list of requested documents for issuing technical specifications for gas connection. A set of measures for a socially fair pricing reform has been developed and submitted for consideration.
Following the meeting, the president gave a number of instructions, including those related to increase of the gas supply pace in the country.
