Over 8 months of 2005 Azneft Production Association (PA) invested 490bn manats or $106.9m against planned 875bn manats or $190m, Yavar Jamalov, the Director General of the Azneft PA. The investments are planned in the level of 1.2trln manats or $261.8m till late 2005.
Jamalov noted that in 2006 they suppose to hold the volume of investments in the same amount. New platform will be built on North Absheron oilfield.
He also said that the Azneft PA drilled 4 wells from 36 envisaged on the platform 18-87 of Neft Dashlari oilfield. Every oilfield is supposed to produce 25-30 tons oil in a day.
Besides, construction work is carried out on GMSP вЂ"11 of Guneshli oilfield. “6 gas wells will be drilled here, but they need construction of gas lines,” he added.
