In January to October 2006 the Batumi terminal delivered a total of 10.1mln tons of oil cargo against 7.7mln tons in 2005, source at the Port told Trend.
In October the delivery made up 929,700 tons against 733,700mln tons in September 2005.
The Batumi oil terminal is capable of handling up to 15 million tons of bulk oil cargo a year. The terminal service tankers of 30,000-90,000 tons deadweight on four berths include a special buoy for the vessels of the Aframax class. Presently the terminal tank loading capacity is about 530,000 tons, which is more than enough for the handling of current and forecasted cargos.
