The value of total assets in the balance sheet of the Azerbaijan Deposit Insurance Fund (ADIF) for 2018 amounted to 952.342 million manats, Trend reports Sept. 12 with reference to the financial report of the fund.
ADIF assets grew by 28.4 percent compared to the previous year, according to the report.
A significant part of the total assets (83 percent) accounted for government bills - 790.336 million manats, which remained almost unchanged year on year. The volume of cash and cash equivalents amounted to 105.404 million manats, decreasing by 19.1 percent, and their share amounted to about 11 percent of the total value. The volume of estimated upcoming insurance premiums increased by 16.5 percent and amounted to 7.804 million manas.
The total liabilities of the fund decreased 7.3 times over the year and amounted to 11.705 million manats. Almost the entire amount (more than 99 percent) accounted for the obligations on the payment of compensations - 11.693 million manats. Their volume decreased 6.2 times.
Additional investments of ADIF amounted to 1.276 billion manats compared to 1.344 billion manats at the end of 2017. During the reporting period, the volume of investments decreased by 4.3 percent.
