BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 1. The share of the deposit portfolio of three banks (the International Bank of Azerbaijan, PASHA Bank and Kapital Bank) is about more than half of the total volume of the deposit portfolio of the entire banking sector, according to the ranking compiled by Trend.
The share of the International Bank of Azerbaijan (ABB), which took the first place in terms of total capital among Azerbaijani banks, accounts for 27.35 percent, while the share of PASHA Bank - 22.25 percent, and the share of the closing top 3 Kapital Bank - 18.51 percent.
Speaking about the total deposit volume of the first three banks, the volume of the deposit portfolio of the first three banks is 21.7 billion manat ($12.7 billion), or 77.17 percent of the total deposit portfolio of 10 banks of Azerbaijan (28.19 billion manat or $16.5 billion), or 68.12 percent of the total volume of all banks of Azerbaijan (38.9 billion manat or $22.8 billion).
The total volume of the deposit portfolio of the first 10 banks is 88.27 percent of the total deposit portfolio of all banks in Azerbaijan.

According to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, the net profit of the banking sector as of March 31, 2023 increased by 94 million manat ($55.2 million), or 54.05 percent compared to the same period in 2022, growing from 173.9 million manat ($102.2 million) to 267.9 million manat ($157.5 million).
