World Bank Group markedly bolsters global investment commitments

BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 16. The World Bank Group's worldwide commitments for the fiscal year 2023 (spanning from July 1, 2022, to June 30, 2023) reached a total of $128.3 billion, encompassing loans, grants, equity investments, and guarantees extended to partner countries and private enterprises, the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, told Trend.

This figure represents a significant upturn from the $104.370 billion recorded in the 2022 fiscal year, reflecting a remarkable 23 percent increase.

Throughout fiscal year 2023, the World Bank Group played a pivotal role in providing crucial financing, conducting comprehensive data collection, in-depth analysis, and research, and forging partnerships with governments, the private sector, and other institutions. These efforts were aimed at advancing the development of nations and tackling global challenges.
