Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr S. Babayeva / Since the beginning of the year the amount of state investments in Azerbaijan put into the communications and IT field made up almost AZN 27mln.
According to the Azerbaijani Communications and IT Ministry, the funds were used for reconstruction of communication lines, construction of inter-urban fibre-optic mains and communication facilities.
In that period large enterprises in the Ministry spent for this purposes: AZN 14.2mln - Aztelecom, AZN 7.1mln Baktelecom, AZN 521,200 - Teleradio , AZN 3.6mln - Azerpocht.
In 2007, the Communications Ministry plans to invest AZN 29mln.
