Azerbaijan, Baku, 10 November /corr. Trend S.Babayeva / More than 40% of the participants of the 14th Azerbaijan International Telecommunications and Information Technologies BakuTel-2008 Exhibition, which will take place on 11-14 November in Baku, is the Azerbaijani companies, Rena Abutalibova, exhibition manager of İteca Caspian, said on 10 November. They are companies of Azercell, Azerfon, Aztelekom, Caspel, Kur, R.I.S.K, Ultra Computers and others.
"The companies include both regular participants of the exhibition and those which participate in the exhibition for the first time," Abutalibova said.
In general, 105 telecommunication companies from 21 countries worldwide have been registered for participation in the exhibition. The geography of foreign companies covers Russia, Turkey, Ukraine, Belarus', Slovenia, Israel, China, Korea, France, USA and such large companies as Microsoft, Alcatel-Lucent, İskratel, Huawei, Nokia-Siemens, Turk Telecom, Ness Technologies.
The manager said that for the first time, the exhibition will be attended by the worldwide broadcasting network ORT.
The exposure of
exhibition will present tele-communication and networks, wide-band communication
and technology, cable and wireless communication, e-business, e-government.
Organized by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of
Azerbaijan, a regional meeting of the ministers on the theme "Trans-Eurasian
high-speed information highway" will take place within the exhibition.
Official support to the exhibition is provided by the United Nations Organization, International Telecommunication Union, Regional Commonwealth in the field of communications, Azerbaijan Export and Business Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO).
