Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Babayeva / The Azerbaijani Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies reported on the 12th of June that the benefit of the Ministry in January- May made up AZN 70.659.5mln against the predicted AZN 62.313.1mln.
Some AZN 26.155.1mln services were rendered to the population instead of the predicted AZN 24.751.9mln. The figure is higher as compared to 2006.
The Ministry invested in IT fields some AZN 11.132.1mln which is 7, 3% more as compared to 2006.
The means were mainly spent on the reconstruction of communication, construction of fiber-optic lines among cities and many other technical issues.
In 2007 the Ministry plans to invest AZN 29mln.
In 2006 the volume of investments of the country made up AZN 42mln and the whole volume of the investment in the communication field made up AZN 211,6mln. (3, 5% of investment was put into the development of the economy in Azerbaijan.)
