Iran’s IAC records increase in number of flights from Kerman International Airport

The number of flights (passenger planes only) from Kerman International Airport in the Kerman Province (south-eastern Iran) increased by 9 percent during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through November 21, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, as was reflected in the statistics of Iran Airports and Air Navigation Company (IAC), Trend reports.

According to the statistics, 2,927 flights were carried out from the mentioned airport in 8 months. Meanwhile, in the same period last Iranian year, the figure stood at 3,062.

In total, 377,284 passengers were transported through Kerman International Airport within eight months, which is an increase of 18 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year. The figure amounted to 320,231 in the same period last Iranian year.

During 8 months, 2,859 tons of cargo were transported via the airport. Cargo transportation increased by 36 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year. Thus, 2,108 tons of cargo had been transported through the airport in the same period last Iranian year.

Iran's Kerman International Airport is located on an area of 7,820 square meters and can receive more than 1.1 million passengers a year.
