TEHRAN, Iran, August 25. Head of the Civil Aviation Organization of Iran (CAO) Mohammad Mohammadi Bakhsh announced that four foreign countries have been sending their commercial passenger planes to the Islamic Republic for repairs, Trend reports citing ILNA.
Iran has hosted aircraft from four countries to perform repair and maintenance and will form a consortium with India, China, and Russia to set necessary standards for aircraft repair services, he said.
Iran is ready to repair aircraft of foreign countries, he said adding that so far six foreign aircraft and several airplane engines were repaired in Iran.
According to the official, Iran is pursuing to build three types of aircraft in the future that are 50 seats, 72 seats, and 150 seats passenger planes.
