Kazakhstan stands for peacefully resolving the situation over Iran, Kazakh Foreign Minister Yerzhan Kazykhanov said today.
"Regarding the situation over Iran, we stand for peaceful, diplomatic settlement of the issue," he said.
The minister said that Tehran must take concrete steps to strengthen the confidence of the international community in the peaceful nature of its nuclear program.
"We have repeatedly called on Iran to follow Kazakhstan's example, which made a historic contribution to nuclear disarmament," he said.
The Minister recalled that Kazakhstan supports the continuation of a dialogue between the "six" countries-negotiators and Iran.
"We hope that the parties will reach mutually acceptable decisions," he added.
