Kazakhstan plans to harvest 22 million tons of crops in gross weight in 2016, Kazakh Agriculture Ministry reported Sept. 8.
As much as 21.7 million hectares were sown in 2016, which is 445,100 hectares more compared to 2015.
Grain sown area reached 15.4 million hectares, oilseed sown area hit 2 million hectares, and the melon and potato area reached 426.7 million hectares.
All the regions of Kazakhstan have already started harvests.
